Some faculty involved in the "Brodkey affair" continue to air their grievances. Brodkey's book, _Writing Permitted in Designated Areas Only_ is published by the University of Minnesota Press. It deals explicitly with "The Troubles at Texas" is key chapters. Alan Friedman and Evan Carton edit a volume of essays, Standard English at the University of Texas, all dealing directly or indirectly with the "Writing about Difference" controversy.
